Since the beginning of the pandemic, the safety of our teams and pet parents has been our highest priority, and we've continuously adapted our business practices to meet or exceed all health and safety guidance, as well as other best practices for retail store operations. This includes enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols, face covering requirements for associates and customers, operational adjustments to accommodate social distancing, and many other steps to reduce the spread of COVID-19. In total, we have invested millions of dollars in personal protective equipment, face coverings for associates, cleaning supplies, physical barriers, vaccination incentives, and other items to protect our associates within our stores, DCs, and home offices, as well as our customers.
